Job Description/Overview:
As a Patient Care Assistant at Saratoga Hospital, you will deliver patient-centered care in a safe and healing environment, ensuring timely and effective care for the best possible outcomes. Responsibilities include administering treatments like enemas, warm soaks, and simple dressing changes, as well as communicating with patients and their families to provide support and updates.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care with maximum comfort and anticipate patient needs.
Administer treatments such as ice packs, pre-op skin prep, and post-mortem care.
Communicate with patients and families, addressing their needs and concerns.
Perform patient rounds every two hours and report changes to the RN.
Participate in patient care planning by collecting relevant data.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Hospital patient care experience preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first year of employment.
Experience:
Experience in hospital settings is preferred but not required.
Skills:
Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and use critical thinking.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
