Job Description/Overview:
Halliday unifies Appchain ecosystems, solving the challenge of seamless onboarding and asset management on any chain via its proprietary Orchestration Layer. As a backend engineer, you will design and implement infrastructure that supports digital multi-chain systems. You will create secure financial systems for purchasing virtual assets, transferring NFTs, and moving funds across chains. Halliday’s technology stack includes TypeScript and open-source blockchain SDKs, while also working on APIs, smart contracts, and service integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Design secure financial systems for virtual asset marketplaces and NFT transfers.
Build services and test suites using TypeScript.
Utilize open-source blockchain SDKs to interact with multiple networks.
Create both internal and external API endpoints.
Contribute to Halliday’s public JavaScript SDK for easy service integration.
Collaborate with design, product, engineering, and business teams in an agile environment.
Explore and contribute to protocol design with blockchain architects.
Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience in backend development.
Proficient in TypeScript development and backend engineering.
Familiarity with web services, AWS, containerization, and cloud deployment.
Passion for new technologies and blockchain ecosystems.
Willing to relocate to or already based in the SF/Bay Area.
Bonus Points:
Experience in protocol design (Solidity, Rust).
Understanding of secure systems, encryption schemes.
Experience with distributed systems, scaling cloud apps (Postgres, Docker).
Knowledge of secure DevOps practices.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $108,000 – $164,000 per year (Glassdoor Estimate)
Median Pay: $133,000 per year
