Job Description/Overview:
This position involves driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to deliver various items. You will also need to perform vehicle inspections, handle heavy loads, and relay information to central dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and drive vehicles to pick up and deliver items
Receive and relay information to dispatch
Load and unload goods
Use maps and trip planning aids
Record trip details, including mileage and fuel costs
Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
Qualifications:
No degree, certificate, or diploma required
Experience:
Experience an asset
Skills:
Handling heavy loads (up to 45 kg / 100 lbs)
Organised and reliable
Credentials:
Air Brakes Endorsement
Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
