Job Description/Overview:
As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for receiving, staging, and delivering merchandise to various departments. Your role will include managing inventory, ensuring food safety, and maintaining the cleanliness of storage areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and stage merchandise, marking appropriately for placement.
Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts.
Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
Notify management of low stock levels promptly.
Properly store perishables and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
Inspect deliveries for quality and refuse damaged or unacceptable items.
Adhere to food safety and handling policies.
Organise and sanitise all food-related areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
Report accidents and unsafe work conditions to management.
Maintain professional appearance and uphold company policies.
Communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
Experience: No related work experience required.
Supervisory Experience: None required.
Licence or Certification: None required.
