Job Description/Overview
ALS Laboratories is seeking an experienced Technical Senior Analyst to join our fast-paced lab in Ossett, Wakefield. This role involves working with ICP instrumentation in a high-throughput lab environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the lab delivers high-quality results, contributing to method validation and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
– Validating analytical methods and non-routine testing
– Ensuring methods comply with UKAS 17025 standards
– Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with instruments
– Interpreting and reporting complex analytical data
– Collaborating with the Quality Manager to monitor proficiency testing schemes
Qualifications
– Degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific field
– Proficiency in method development and validation
– Knowledge of proficiency testing schemes and quality management systems
Experience
– Significant experience in laboratory environments, particularly high-throughput testing
– Hands-on experience with ICP instrumentation
– Experience working in a UKAS 17025-accredited laboratory
Skills
– Strong organisational and communication skills
– Team-oriented mindset
– Ability to evaluate scientific data and drive improvements
