Job Description/Overview:
The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in domestic, commercial, or industrial settings. The role involves reading blueprints, testing pipes for leaks, and estimating costs for materials.
Key Responsibilities:
– Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems
– Read blueprints and specifications to determine plumbing layout
– Locate and mark positions for pipes and fixtures
– Cut openings in walls and floors for pipes
– Join pipes using couplings, clamps, soldering, and welding equipment
– Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
– Determine piping system requirements and sizing
– Estimate costs and materials for projects
Qualifications:
– Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:
– 2 to less than 3 years
Skills:
– Accurate with excellent attention to detail
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints
– Team player
