Job Description/Overview:

We’re looking for a data analyst to join us who can support the team as we implement new tools, technologies, and techniques to meet Thames Water’s current and future challenges. The successful data analyst will support the delivery of insight and data analysis within the UK’s largest Water and Wastewater Company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Build logic, develop reporting & data flows, provide analysis and insight using SQL, PowerBI, and Python within the Azure ecosystem.

 

Work with large datasets from a variety of internal and external sources, including environmental data and operational data.

 

Design and interrogate databases, carrying out data transformations, and liaising with the business to improve workflows.

 

Collaborate with stakeholders to design, build, and maintain reports.

 

Maintain data quality, ensuring compliance with GDPR.

 

Qualifications:

 

Experience in working with databases, data analysis, and reporting.

 

Strong understanding of operational data sets.

 

Ability to learn new tools and techniques quickly.

 

Experience:

 

Proven track record of adapting to technical challenges.

 

Skills:

 

Knowledge of SQL and Power BI is essential; Python and Azure data engineering ecosystem experience is advantageous.

 

Familiarity with Salesforce, R, Business Objects, and Microsoft Office Applications is beneficial.

 

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Additional Information:

 

Hybrid role based in Kemble Court; office attendance required every Tuesday and for further business needs.

 

Salary: £37,600 – £47,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

 

Benefits include 26 days holiday (increasing to 30 with service), contributory pension, personal medical assessments, and a wider benefits scheme.
