Job Description/Overview:
County Pro Contractors is seeking a Carpenter Lead Hand with additional responsibilities as a Construction Project Manager. The candidate will work on various construction sites, performing carpentry tasks, supervising workers, and managing project finances.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare estimates for labour and material costs.
– Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to assess work requirements.
– Measure, cut, and assemble materials (wood, steel, etc.) and erect structures.
– Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
– Coordinate and schedule on-site work, instruct apprentices, and supervise 3-4 workers.
– Assist with framing, roofing, and other structural tasks.
– Manage project finances, including creating estimates and submitting reports.
– Ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
Work Environment:
– On-site work in various commercial and residential locations.
– Willingness to relocate if required.
– Physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads.
– Overtime may be required.
Qualifications:
– Education: Bachelor’s degree.
– Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in carpentry and construction management.
– Certifications:
– Carpenter Trade Certification
– WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) Clearance Certificate
– First Aid Certificate
– Fall Arrest Protection Training
Tools and Equipment:
– Must have your own tools, safety gear, and steel-toed boots.
Salary:
– $20.00 hourly for 40 to 45 hours per week.
