Job Description/Overview:
SHR CARRIER INC. is looking for dedicated truck drivers to transport goods and materials. Candidates will be responsible for loading and unloading, performing vehicle inspections, and ensuring safety protocols during transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide professionalism in customer service.
– Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
– Load and unload goods and operate trucks to transport materials.
– Inspect the vehicle’s condition, including tires, lights, and brakes.
– Perform brake adjustments and maintain vehicle safety.
– Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
– Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
– Ensure the safety and security of cargo through tarping and monitoring.
Work Setting:
– On-site work with no remote option.
– Willing to relocate to various locations.
Qualifications:
– No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
– AZ class licence and Air Brakes Endorsement are mandatory.
– Driver’s License (Class 1 or A) is required.
Experience:
– Experience is an asset, but training may be provided.
Work Conditions:
– Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and physical demands.
– Must be willing to travel cross-border and for extended periods.
Salary:
$28.50 to $30.00 hourly (to be negotiated), 40 to 60 hours per week.
