Job Description/Overview:
THE FT. ST. JAMES SKI CLUB is seeking enthusiastic and reliable kitchen helpers for the upcoming season. The position involves general kitchen duties such as cleaning, food preparation, and customer service. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
– Clean and sanitise items like dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
– Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
– Operate dishwashers and manually wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
– Replenish condiments and supplies in serving areas.
– Scour pots and pans, and sanitise kitchen surfaces.
– Package take-out food and portion simple food items.
– Prepare, heat, and finish simple food dishes.
– Take customer orders and serve at counters or buffet tables.
– Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
– Sweep, mop, and polish floors.
– Handle and store cleaning products and kitchen supplies.
Qualifications:
– No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
– Experience is an asset but not required.
– Food Safety Certificate is an advantage.
Experience:
– Experience is not mandatory but will be considered an asset.
Skills:
– Ability to stand for extended periods.
– Physically capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
– Strong teamwork and positive attitude.
