Job Overview
Care South is seeking Home Care Assistants for a community-based role supporting clients in their own homes. This role includes personal care, meal preparation, and assistance with medication and community visits. Applicants must have a UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes
– Assist with medication, meal preparation, and domestic services
– Support with shopping, leisure trips, and community visits
– Reflect Care South’s HEART values in all interactions
Qualifications
– UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
– Business insurance (or willingness to obtain)
– Flexibility to work between 7am-2pm and 4pm-10pm, including weekends
Experience
– Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided
Skills
– Empathy and a desire to make a positive impact
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Salary and Benefits
– £12.30 per hour
– £2.00 per hour Bank Holiday enhancement
– 40p per mile mileage allowance
