Job Description/Overview:
Care South is a not-for-profit charity and leading provider of residential and home care across the south of England. We offer Tier 2 Sponsorship for Home Care Assistant positions in Chard. Candidates must have a UK driving licence, access to their own vehicle, and currently live within the Chard area or a commutable distance.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes.
– Assist with medication, meal preparation, and domestic services.
– Support clients with community visits (shopping and leisure trips).
– Maintain regular communication with the office support team.
Pay:
– £12.30 – £14.30 per hour
– £2.00 per hour Bank Holiday enhancement rate
– Mileage allowance of 40p per mile
– Paid travel time
Qualifications:
– Must hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
– Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided.
Skills:
– Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Desire to positively impact clients’ lives.
Experience:
– Previous experience in care is a plus, but training is available for newcomers.
