Job Description/Overview:
Moorfields Eye Hospital is seeking a Data Scientist/Software Engineer to advance research in the Electrophysiology Department. The role involves developing AI and machine learning tools to automate and enhance the interpretation of electroretinograms (ERGs) for retinal disorders. The position includes collaboration with University College London (UCL) and involves working with clinical ERG datasets to create diagnostic tools and models.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop ML tools for extracting and analysing ERG data
– Create an AI-based decision support tool for diagnostic purposes
– Collaborate with Moorfields and UCL on ERG data analysis
– Develop web applications for clinical and imaging data analytics
– Contribute to AI diagnostic models for retino-choroidal diseases
– Develop and manage a database platform for the Electrophysiology Department
Qualifications:
– Proficiency in Python (numpy), image processing (opencv), and machine learning (tensorflow/pytorch/keras)
– Experience with web technologies (JavaScript) and database management (SQL)
– Experience in developing AI algorithms and tools
Experience:
– Working experience in relevant technologies and tools
– Demonstrated ability to develop and validate AI models
Skills:
– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– High level of accountability for professional actions
Pay: £54,320 – £60,981 per year
