Job Description/Overview
Pho Binh Dan Restaurant is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to join their team in Edmonton. The role involves assisting in food preparation, cleaning, and ensuring a smooth operation of the kitchen. The candidate will handle various tasks from washing dishes to preparing simple food items. Training will be provided, and applicants with up to 7 months of experience are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
– Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables
– Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
– Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
– Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
– Place dishes in storage areas
– Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
– Sanitize and wash dishes by hand
– Package take-out food
– Portion and wrap foods
– Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
– Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
– Take customers’ orders
– Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
– Remove kitchen garbage and trash
– Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
– Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits
– Sharpen kitchen knives
Qualifications
– No degree, certificate, or diploma required
– 1 to less than 7 months of experience preferred
