Job Description/Overview:
Zmley Inc. is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their team in Halifax. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimising computer-based systems, creating software solutions, and coordinating project tasks with a team of professionals. This position is on-site, with no remote work option.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collect and document users’ requirements.
– Coordinate the development, installation, and operation of computer-based systems.
– Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify software solutions.
– Optimise architecture through process and network models.
– Execute full lifecycle software development.
– Plan the integration steps for a computer-based system.
– Conduct research on technical information for system design, development, and testing.
– Upgrade and maintain software.
– Lead and coordinate teams in developing software and integrated systems.
– Conduct usability testing, security, and quality controls.
– Provide ongoing client support post-sale.
Qualifications:
– College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience:
– 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
Skills:
– Strong knowledge of system flow, data usage, and work processes.
– Ability to develop and integrate software solutions.
– Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
– Proficiency in usability testing and security controls.
Workplace Information: On-site, Halifax, NS
Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 annually (To be negotiated)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
