Job Description/Overview:
FunctionAbility Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Social Worker to join their team. The Social Worker will conduct psychosocial assessments, provide therapy, and advocate for clients. This role involves traveling to various work locations as needed, and working with a multidisciplinary team to address client issues and needs.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct psychosocial assessments
– Evaluate the effectiveness of social programs
– Interview clients individually, in families, or in groups to assess their situations
– Prepare detailed plans for clients returning home after rehabilitation
– Provide mediation services
– Take authorized protective action when necessary
– Perform administrative tasks
– Provide counsel and therapy to help clients resolve social and personal problems
– Plan assistance programs for clients
– Refer clients to relevant agencies for financial, legal, housing, or medical services
– Serve as part of an interdisciplinary team
– Advocate on behalf of clients in courts or hearings
– Conduct social research and administer tests
– Provide consultation services to government and organizations
– Supervise professional staff, program leaders, instructors, and volunteers
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
– 1 year to less than 2 years
Skills:
– Ability to conduct assessments and provide counseling
– Strong administrative and mediation skills
– Excellent communication and teamwork
