Job Description/Overview:
The Painter will be responsible for preparing and painting surfaces, mixing paints, applying wallpaper, and working at heights. The role requires outdoor work and handling materials in various conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted.
– Repair cracks and holes.
– Mix paint to desired colour and texture.
– Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabrics to walls.
– Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
– Erect scaffolding, swing stages, and attach rigging.
– Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
– Estimate costs and materials.
Experience and Specialization:
– Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
– Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a related field.
Work Conditions:
– Outdoors, at heights, with potential exposure to odours and cold/refrigerated environments.
– Salary: $29.00 hourly, 35 to 40 hours per week.
