Job Description/Overview:
The Carpenter will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials such as wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel. The role involves working in various construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:
– Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
– Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
Experience and Specialization:
– Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
– Experience: 3 to less than 5 years in carpentry.
– Credentials: Carpenter Trade Certification, First Aid Certificate, Carpenter Red Seal Certificate.
– Equipment and Machinery Experience: Hand tools, steel-toed safety boots, hard hats.
Work Conditions:
– Work in confined spaces, noisy and dusty environments, and outdoors.
– Salary: $28.00 to $36.00 hourly (negotiable), 40 hours per week.
