Job Description/Overview:
The Plumber will be responsible for installing and repairing plumbing systems in various settings, including residential and construction sites. This role involves reading blueprints, joining pipes, and supervising other workers.
Key Responsibilities:
– Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing system layout
– Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
– Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, fixtures, and passage holes
– Cut openings in walls and floors for pipes and fittings
– Join pipes using various techniques and equipment
– Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
– Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
Qualifications:
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
– 2 to less than 3 years in plumbing
Skills:
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints
– Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina
