Job Description/Overview:
The Plumber will be responsible for installing and repairing plumbing systems in various settings, including domestic, commercial, and industrial. This role involves reading blueprints, cutting and joining pipes, and scheduling personnel and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems
– Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing system layout
– Instruct apprentices
– Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, fixtures, and passage holes
– Cut openings in walls and floors for pipes and fittings
– Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes
– Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment
Qualifications:
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:
– 1 to less than 7 months in plumbing
Skills:
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints
– Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Good physical stamina and hand-eye coordination
