Job Description/Overview
As a Store Driver at Gordon Food Service, you will play a key role in delivering orders accurately and building relationships with wholesale customers. This position also involves in-store duties like ensuring product quality and efficient handling of purchases through the point of sale.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery
– Accurately pick and locate orders for Wholesale customers
– Build and maintain good customer relationships
– Ensure timely and accurate delivery of GFS products
– Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections
In-Store
– Efficiently process customer purchases at the point of sale, following security protocols
– Ensure proper product rotation, quality control, and organisation in the store (including freezers, coolers, and backrooms)
– Execute end cap and planogram setup
Qualifications
– At least 1 year of previous delivery driving experience and customer service preferred
– Must hold a valid and unrestricted Standard Operator’s Licence
– Clean driving record (no drug or alcohol offences in the last 5 years)
– Minimum age requirement: 18 years
– Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle report (MVR)
– Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and use a two-wheel cart with up to 350 lbs load
