Job Description/Overview:
A Family Physician is needed to provide comprehensive care in a private practice setting. Responsibilities include consulting with other medical practitioners, prescribing treatments, and managing patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
– Evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
– Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
– Inoculate and vaccinate patients
– Advise patients on health care
– Report diseases to government authorities
– Manage primary patient care and provide acute care management
– Provide counselling and support to patients and families
Qualifications:
– Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
– College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
– Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Experience:
2 to 3 years
