Job Description/Overview:
- Factory processing roles available now
- Rostered day and night shifts
- Day shift – 8-12 hour shifts
- Night shift – 8- 12 hour shifts
- Timaru and South Canterbury region
- Pay rate from $25.00 – $29.66 / hour
- Minimum 30 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining machinery
- Sorting and stacking product
- Testing product quality
- Washing down plant and machinery, including work stations and floors
- Inputting data into a basic computer system
- Labelling and moving product
- Knife handling, trimming of product
- Using hoist to lift and move heavy items
- Stacking racks and pallets
- Sorting and grading product into bins
- Testing of finished product
Qualifications needed
- Previous experience in factory processing is ideal, but not essential, as full training will be given.
- You must be physically fit, be able to pass drug testing, and commit to the shift patterns on offer.
- Be physically fit and capable of safely completing the required tasks
- Be able to commit to the shift hours required, work day, night, and weekend shifts
- Be able to work in a close team and follow work instructions to meet production deadlines
- Be committed to health and safety awareness at work
- Factory processing experience in a production environment (preferred) but not essential as training will be provided
- Pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug testing
