Job Description/Overview:

The Support Engineer at Koddi will be an essential part of the engineering team, collaborating with a global network of technology partners. This role involves working with cloud technologies, maintaining and deploying servers, and automating processes. The Support Engineer will also engage with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring the smooth operation of large-scale, high-availability systems. This position requires a self-motivated problem solver who can lead technical projects from design to deployment and monitoring.

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Work with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud (GCS), applying modern, distributed, concurrent programming principles.

– Deploy and maintain servers, monitor server logs, and troubleshoot high-level networking issues.

– Automate daily and weekly processes to enhance efficiency.

– Manage cloud services logs, deploy Docker containers on Elastic Cloud Services, and optimize databases for scalability and usability.

– Support large-scale, high-availability systems in a production environment.

– Collaborate with internal teams to triage and resolve technical issues, escalating critical system issues to engineering leadership when necessary.

 

Qualifications needed:

– Master’s degree in MIS, Engineering, Math, Physics, or equivalent experience.

– 4+ years of work experience in a relevant field.

– 3+ years of experience with Linux, Shell scripting, and modern programming languages.

– 3+ years of experience working with databases and writing complex queries.

– 3+ years of experience with AWS or similar cloud technologies.

– Ability to automate processes and workflows efficiently.

– Strong competence in logical and technical problem solving, along with good organizational skills.

– Experience with Git/GitHub is a plus.

– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make significant decisions.

– Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

– Experience with large-scale distributed systems is a plus.
