Job Description/Overview:
Clarion Futures is one of 10 housing associations awarded a Learning and Work Institute grant to deliver a Jobs Plus pilot in Borehamwood. The goal of the programme is to improve employment outcomes in deprived communities by offering support services such as housing, employment, health, skills, and financial inclusion.
As an Employment Support Officer, you will empower customers to make confident decisions about their future. Your role will involve working alongside local employers and stakeholders to create sustainable job opportunities and self-employment paths, positively impacting individuals’ lives.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide employability support to long-term unemployed individuals.
– Collaborate with local employers and stakeholders to create job opportunities.
– Help individuals develop skills and pursue sustainable employment or self-employment.
– Assist in improving overall employment outcomes in deprived communities.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
– Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Advice and Guidance (IAG) or equivalent.
– Experience in employability support and delivering employability projects.
– Ability to empower and coach individuals through career transitions.
– Strong communication and organizational skills.
Additional Information:
– This is a hybrid role requiring work from a Community Centre in Borehamwood for 3 days per week.
– Travel across the region may be required.
– This role is subject to an Enhanced Adult plus barred list check.
– Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, as Clarion does not offer visa sponsorship.
