Job Description/Overview:
An order picker is responsible for carefully reviewing orders and accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves or designated locations. Key duties include operating forklifts and other heavy machinery, maintaining up-to-date inventory records, and accurately counting the required quantity of goods to fulfill an order.
The Warehouse Order Picker position is a Regular, Full-Time role with a 90-day probationary period. This position requires you to be on-site Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily receiving, stocking, and pulling of products for customer orders in a timely and accurate manner. This position works with minimal supervision to ensure accurate and timely work to meet the company’s customer and departmental goals. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Ability to use different types of forklifts such as Order Picker, Stand-up Reach Truck, and Sit-down Electric Forklift
- Reads and efficiently works the customer’s pick sheets to determine items to be gathered, palletized, and distributed accurately.
- Stocks products according to the SKU’s location within the warehouse.
- Keeps all locations neat, organized, and straightened.
- Fills orders or issues supplies from stock with care, concern, and diligence.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and builds orders on pallets, effectively and safely for successful delivery.
- Helps to clean up all warehouse areas worked during the shift by sweeping, discarding trash, and emptying boxes prior to the end of the shift.
- Participates in weekly, monthly, or annual inventory cycles to count appropriate SKU’s.
- Complete daily forklift inspection and file forms necessary for safety compliance.
- All employees must safely perform their job duties for themselves and others.

Qualifications needed
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Prefer working knowledge of warehousing, forklift, and pallet jack operations, pallet building, and inventory procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for processing and calculating order quantities.
- Must have or acquire forklift certification.
- Must have intermediate English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Spanish communication skills are a plus.
