Job Description/Overview:
A Farmer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a farm, including cultivating crops, raising livestock, and managing farm resources. The Farmer ensures the production of high-quality agricultural products while maintaining sustainable and efficient farming practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean the crops
- Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
- Greenhouse cleaning
- Hand harvesting vegetables
- Level earth to fine grade specifications
- Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts
- Tie and secure plants
- Clean work area
- Fertilise and spray crops
- Harvest crops
- Report signs of insect or disease damage
- Cut horticultural crops
