Job Description/Overview:
The Nursing Simulation Centre (NSC) Assistant supports the efficient, safe, and effective operation of the NSC. Responsibilities include preparing the lab for teaching demonstrations, managing inventory, and overseeing the opening and closing of the NSC.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare the lab for teaching demonstrations and simulations.
– Manage and control inventory of equipment and supplies.
– Oversee the opening and closing of the NSC.
– Operate and maintain technical equipment, including IT, audio-visual, and hospital equipment.
– Provide support and assistance to staff and students during simulations.
Qualifications needed:
– Education: High School diploma.
– Experience: 1 year related experience with technical equipment or healthcare simulation.
– Skills: Effective communication, tact and diplomacy, good eye/hand coordination, and manual dexterity.
Experience:
– Experience in healthcare simulation in an academic or professional setting is an asset.
Skills:
– Ability to deal calmly and effectively with people.
– Accuracy and effectiveness under high volume and pressure.
– Good manual dexterity and coordination.
