Job Description/Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced account manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, achieving sales targets, and generating insightful sales reports. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assigned territory
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking and market research
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Prepare regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, performance metrics and pipeline status for presentation to the team
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to clients, showcasing the features and benefits of our textiles
  • Monitor market trends and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by company
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline opportunities in the CRM system
  • Provide excellent customer service and support, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and promote our products

Qualifications needed

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, experience within the textiles or related industry is an advantage but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of commercial textiles is an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Must have intermediate and above Excel skills (comfortable using formulas, pivot tables, filtering, charts, conditional formatting)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and generate actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel overnight to sales regions within NZ
