Job Description/Overview:
We are recruiting for a progressive tier one main contractor who operate in the commercial construction sector. They are looking to hire an experienced Construction Planner/Programmer who can work autonomously with the preconstruction/operations teams.
The salary range is between $120-150k, depending on experience, with a strong benefits package including vehicle allowance, medical insurance.
The job holder will spend 2-3 days every week on-site tracking project progress and providing solutions to maintain or improve the programme. The other days will be at head office working with the pre-con/operations team.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years experience in vertical construction planning/programming. Someone who has worked producing tender programmes, measured the project progress on-site and updated the construction schedule. The candidate will have a good understanding of construction sequencing and can assess delays for EoT claims and must be familiar with NZS3910 Contract.
Qualifications needed
- Experience in producing high-quality schedules for construction sequencing
- Strong ability to assess delays and subsequent EoT requests
- Ability to provide solutions to expedite the construction process
- Experience in Project and Construction planning and programming, using MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
- Strong experience in planning and programming large-scale commercial construction projects
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a Construction Planning role
- A relevant qualification
- The ability to communicate effortlessly and fluently in written and spoken English
