Job Description/Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to join our market-leading Corporate Finance team in Auckland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge transactions and collaborate with prestigious clients. This is a fixed-term contract opportunity, minimum 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support on transactions and deliver high-quality valuation, strategic, and financial advisory solutions to clients.
- Assist with valuation and financial modelling engagements, including preparing business cases and economic impact analyses.
- Support client relationships.
- Play a strategic role in achieving our team’s growth objectives.
Qualifications needed
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in corporate finance, commercial, or financial markets, preferably with a “Big 4” or similar firm.
- Proven experience working with clients and producing high-quality reports.
- Relevant tertiary qualification – Bachelor of Commerce in Finance or another discipline (e.g. economics, accounting, mathematics/statistics, law and engineering)
- CFA designation and/or progress towards this qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Office, and the Google Suite.
- Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI is desirable but not essential.
- Strong financial statement analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and confident approach to work.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
